We're so excited you're enjoying art in your own home! Here are some friendly tips to help keep these beautiful pieces in great condition during your time together.
Caring For Your
C-lective Artwork
General Handling Guidelines
Please resist the urge to touch! We know it's tempting - the textures and brushstrokes can look so inviting. But even the cleanest hands carry oils that can gradually damage paint, canvas, and other delicate materials over time. If you absolutely need to handle a piece, cotton gloves are your best friend!
Want to Move Things Around?
We encourage you to keep your artwork on your rail for the duration of the rotation; however, it is under your insurance during this time, if you do decide to test out different spaces.
Team Up for Safety If you are going to move your artwork, remember to grab a buddy. Two people make all the difference when moving pieces. Have one person support each side, and please avoid grabbing frame corners or putting your hands directly on the surface.
The Gentle Approach Pop on some cotton gloves, lift from the bottom and sides of the work, and keep everything upright. Take your time - there's no rush! Chat with your moving partner so you're both on the same page.
Finding the Perfect Spot When you set it down, think "gentle landing" - no bumping or dropping. If you're leaning it against a wall temporarily, maybe tuck something soft around those corners. And try to keep it away from busy hallways where someone might accidentally brush against it.
A Few House Rules
Your artwork is happiest away from direct sunlight, heaters, and steamy bathrooms. Think of it like a houseplant that prefers a calm, stable environment! If it’s in front of a window (like above), we recommend a wall that doesn’t get sun all day.
Just So You Know...
While the artwork is hanging out at your place, it falls under your homeowner's or renter's insurance. We trust you'll treat it with the love it deserves!
